Sideshow Slave Leia Premium Format

I recently posted a, uh, post showcasing the Sideshow Slave Leia Premium Format statue. This is a new one. I returned the other one due to limited edition numbering concerns. This new one, unfortunately, has the same type of numbering that concerned me previously. I suspect foul play. That reminds me, I need to wash my truck again. I suspect fowl play.

But rather than send this one back, too, I threw in the towel. And that reminds me that I need to do laundry. But anyway, it's a nice piece. And it's rather large, too. It's even larger than Sideshow's "A New Hope" version of Princess Leia. It's more, what's the word? Robust? Sure. I'd put them side by side, but I don't really feel like moving right now so you'll have to take my word for it.

The force pike isn't removable, but it does come in separate pieces. The skirt or loincloth or whatever you want to call it is real cloth. And it can be moved. I believe there's a flexible wire inside. So, say, if you want to pretend that Leia's in a wind tunnel, feel free. Have a blast. The chain, too, is real, as is her top's strap, unlike the Gentle Giant version's painted on strap.

Hm, what else? Oh, it's fragile. There's a bit of obviousness for you. But if you didn't realize that, perhaps I've saved you a bit of heartbreak. I would imagine it's pretty hard to glue back together. I wouldn't want to tackle such a task, anyway.

So, there you have it: Sideshow's Slave Leia Premium Format statue. Hm, I have more pictures I need to show. And to show them aesthetically, I need to write more! Lets see. Oh, um. Never mind. What I had in mind to say was much too boring and not relevant to the topic.

I like wearing pajamas. OK, that wasn't on topic, but I thought it was worth mentioning. Well, back to topic. I have way too many Slave Leia items. Some might consider that pathetic. I admit that it is, so I beat you to the punch. Take that! I don't like the term "fanboy." Besides, to be one of those you have to consider George Lucas a god. I most assuredly don't. I find his recent work rather bad.

I need one more paragraph! Hm. Wind tunnels remind me of funnels. I've never had a funnel cake. Are they good? I do like marble cake, though. Fruit cakes, however, are a blight on mankind and produce.

I find it incredibly hard to format these pictures in a pleasing manner. Oh well. I tried.

Slave Leia Premium Format

Well, I got it today. This morning, in fact. Early. Pounding on my door. Dogs barking. And I don't own a dog. Although one day, I should like to. Preferably a mutt. But I digress...

Strangely, however, it's slated as 21/750. One of my favorite numbers, no doubt, but I had thought it was supposed to be a run of 1250. The 750 is the Exclusive edition. My numerous calls to Sideshow customer service have gone unanswered. Perhaps it's an error, in which case my statue will become extremely valuable. More likely, however, it'll have the opposite effect. Not that I ever plan to sell, of course, but, you know, invesment purposes?

Either way, I believe my Slave Leia collection is now complete. What else can they do? All poses have been exhausted. All the collectible companies have had their say. (I reserve the right to revise my previous statement upon the release of a new item).

Revised: Just heard back from Sideshow. I am to take pictures. I will keep my 1 reader updated.

An Escape From Normalcy

Yes. I know. It's not Princess Leia in her slave regalia. But it is a limited edition. An exclusive limited edition, mind you! The Sideshow Exclusive Edition as Princess Leia appeared in Star Wars: A New Hope. Being exclusive, it came with a stormtrooper blaster as well. But I much prefer the sporting blaster. You'll find out why later. But only if you're really lucky. By the way, I'm a college graduate. I know the proper usage of "you're" and "your."

Why do I collect Princess Leia statues, you ask? For investment purposes! Need I say it again? I could probably collect Luke Skywalker or Han Solo statues. Although I have the sneaking suspicion that weak-minded individuals would label me as "fruity." By collecting female-likeness statues I'm merely pathetic.

So there.
